Get started with the Forney Easy Weld 20 P Plasma Cutter! This is a breakdown of the Quick Start Guide that is included with your new machine.

FIRST STEPS

1. Read User Manual Icon Read User Manual

2. Connect to input air (Output air pressure is pre-set at the factory)

a. 60-100 PSI

b. ≥ 1.5 CFM

c. Clean air

d. No oil

e. No moisture

3. Connect to Input Power Input Power Symbol

a.Generator OK with continuous output ≥ 4,000 W

b.Extension cord: #12 AWG or larger; 25’ (8m) or shorter

120VAC, 20A outlet, 30A breaker recommended

4. Drag tip on work piece

Travel Speed

Correct- Wrong Examples, Too fast. Watch spark trail angle.

Cutting capability

  • Will cut clean up to 1/4” (6.4 mm)
Quarter inch cut

Replace worn consumables

  • Replacement electrodes and cutting tips available in a 4-pack (2 ea.) ITEM# 85392
New consumables- Worn consumables

Troubleshooting Guide

Solid yellow; Duty cycle exceeded; Allow machine to cool. See manual
Flashing green; Low input power; Verify power source is 120 VAC +/- 10%
Flashing red; Consumables not in place properly; Check consumable assembly. Tighten cup. See manual.
Flashing yellow; Low input air pressure; Ensure air input meets pressure and flow requirements.
