Forney Industries continues to innovate products for metalworking enthusiasts with their expansive abrasive line. From cutting to cleaning and grinding to polishing, Forney has you covered from start to finish.
Why have one when you can have two? Forney Industries introduced double-sided metal grinding flap discs that efficiently meets the needs of DIY and experienced users alike. The most commonly used flap disc is the 40 grit, so Forney created a 40/40 grit double-sided flap disc for a coarse finish. For a coarse to fine finish, they have a 40/80 grit, and if medium to fine finish is what you’re looking for, they offer a 60/120 grit double-sided flap disc. These discs are secured to a plastic spin-on 5/8″-11 center which allows the job to move with ease. Simply spin to tighten and lock the flap disc in place. To switch to the other side, unscrew the flap disc and flip it over to attain the desired finish.
Do you need to grind a tight corner? No sweat! Forney has curved edge flap discs that were designed to get into those hard to reach areas. The unique curved edge takes the annoyance out of grinding a 90-degree angle or other tight spaces where standard discs won’t work. It can also be used for all other standard flap disc applications. These are ideal for mild steel, high-strength steel, hardened steels and stainless steel and performs best with only light to moderate grinding pressure. They’re available in 40, 60 and 80 grits.
