Why does the Forney Easy Weld 140 FC-i Flux-Core Wire Welder have an open diffuser and not a closed like other welders? It allows spatters to coat the inside as well as contact tip.
Hi Michael! The nozzle is a standard size, and if you want to purchase a ‘flux-core’ nozzle you can. But truth be told there is very little difference between the two. The rule of thumb with all wire welding (MIG, Flux-core, or even spool gun) is that you should clean your nozzle every 5-7 welds, and this holds true for this machine. If you have further questions feel free to contact our Expert-Techs at 1-800-521-6038 ext. 2!
