Forney Industries was born in the backseat of a 1921 Kissel 6-45. The now 90-year-old metalworking and welding company was founded in 1932 when J.D. Forney drove door-to-door selling the Forney instant heat soldering iron. The time behind the wheel in the Kissel drove Forney to admire the US, along with all the transportation that was needed for the vast country.
